Texas A&M football take on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in their third of four non-conference games in Week 3. This game will provide Fisher and the Aggies one more tune-up before the grind of conference play begins next week with Alabama.
The game will be the fourth meeting between the Aggies and the Warhawks (A&M leads 3-0). The Warhawks are located in Monroe, LA. Enrollment is listed at 9,038 according to their fall of 2017 numbers.
Head coach Matt Viator is in his third year at the helm. Viator came to Monroe after spending 10 years as the McNeese State head coach. In his first two seasons, the Warhawks went 4-8 in both. Viator is bringing his 2018 Warhawks to College Station at 2-0 after beating Southeastern Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.
For your Aggies, A&M is currently ranked third in offense averaging 630 yards per game which sits behind Oklahoma State and Ohio State. On defense, the Aggies are 49th in the nation giving up 332 yards per game. The stat that needs to improve is the defense is allowing 6.2 yards per play. With Alabama looming, the defense needs to continue to get better and work to eliminate the big play that Clemson used several times last week.
The Aggies should continue its scoring streak of 29 straight games of scoring at least 14 points. That streak happens to be the longest active in the SEC.
